Abstract

The article examines the role of the subject foreign language in primary school. In this direction, a brief description of the concept of communicative competence in a foreign language is given. During the study, the results of experimental work were discussed. Insufficient results of teaching foreign languages in primary classes are shown and suggestions are made on how to solve them. In addition, an analysis of the situation of a general decline in the quality of education was carried out and an assessment of the pedagogical mechanisms of its preventive measures was given. In the course of our research, we were convinced that we can increase its importance in the future by making certain changes to the current state of communicative competence in teaching foreign languages. Looking at the general situation, we understand that at the present stage of development, one of the main goals of language education is to create conditions for students to achieve foreign language communicative competence. That is, to improve the ability of students to receive information in a foreign language and to communicate freely with foreigners. At the primary school age, learning and passion for a foreign language is of great importance. The ways of formation of communicative competence in a foreign language among primary school students have been confirmed by Kazakh and foreign experience. In this regard, in this work, the main attention was paid to methods and technologies of forming components of communicative competence in the lesson.
